Our Future of Protein Athletes: A Year in Review

December 15, 2015

For those who believe that championships are built in the offseason, in weight rooms, on dinner plates--we couldn't agree more. For those who believe those plates need to be filled with animal protein to build strong muscles and fuel that championship drive--we beg to differ. Athletes have always been at the cutting edge of training, nutrition, and discipline. With so many athletes adopting a lean, clean, plant-based diet to gain an edge, we formed partnerships to further their progression and bring plant-protein to the spotlight. Just take a look at their performance over the past year:

  • Eric Bledsoe was in the midst of his most successful season to date before a knee injury cut it short. He's already got his eyes on 2016
  • Maya Moore led her Minnesota Lynx to their 3rd championship in 5 years (they only win every other year)
  • JJ Redick made a grand total of 200 3-Pointers last year (200 more than we've ever made) and is shooting at an even higher percentage in the '15-'16 season
  • April Ross led the AVP in Aces, Hitting Percentage, and Wins in 2015; which netted Ross the Tour's Player of the Year Award
  • David Wright took the Mets on a memorable playoff run and delivered their first National League Pennant since 2000
  • Tia Blanco took Gold in the ISA World Surfing Championships and is looking towards '16 to turn pro
  • Maggie
Vessey continues to shave seconds off her time in the 800 as she darts along
    the Road to Rio

With all the accolades beginning to mount, it's no surprise we believe the Future of Protein lies in plants. Be sure to watch out for our athlete partners as they Go Beyond in 2016!
