SHANGHAI, China, January 5, 2023 - Beyond Meat, Inc. (NASDAQ: BYND) today announced a partnership with Fresh Kitchen, a wholly-owned brand of a leading provider of freshly prepared food Bakkavor China, to launch ready-to-eat (RTE) meals featuring Beyond Meat’s delicious and nutritious plant-based meat.
Leveraging Bakkavor China's expertise in international cuisine and Beyond Meat’s leadership in plant-based meat, the two brands are introducing a new line of quick ready-to-eat meals at home or on-the-go:
- Classic American Style Beyond Meat Chili Con Carne Pasta: A unique twist on a classic western dish that is richly stewed with tomatoes, kidney beans, and chili, seasoned with delicious, aromatic herbs, and served on a bed of al dente pasta.
- Harissa-flavor Beyond Meat Falafel & Cheese Wrap: A great on-the-go meal option, offering a satisfying bite with velvety smooth, tangy cheese, crisp vegetables, and textured falafel, with a dash of Moroccan spices and a touch of piquancy to balance it out.
Available for order on Beyond Meat’s Tmall store and Bakkavor’s Taobao shop starting today, the two savory options inspired by international flavors are made with Beyond Meat’s delicious Beyond Beef, a product made from simple plant-based ingredients and designed to deliver the meaty texture, cooking versatility, and mouthwatering taste similar to traditional minced beef. Both dishes are prepared locally in Bakkavor China’s facilities and can be easily reheated in an oven or microwave without defrosting.
