April Ross – Serving For The Win
September 15, 2015
April Ross might come off as a laid back girl from SoCal, but put her on the the sand and she's anything but. From an early age, April got hooked on the contrast between a calm California coast and the fierce competition of beach volleyball. Controlling your destiny one point, one match, one title at a time (a record setting 53 MPH serve doesn't hurt either).
Bringing the same voracity to diet and proper nutrition as she does the sport, made her an ideal ambassador for Beyond Meat and the Future of Protein: "Nutrition is huge. I stress my body so much that if I don't fuel it properly it won't perform like I want it to. I think about everything I eat, whether it will hurt or help me achieve my goals, give me energy, help me recover, or simply whether it's healthy or not. Training starts and ends, but nutrition is 24/7/365."
Now in her 10th professional season, April has become one of the most decorated players in Women's AVP history. But after taking silver in the 2012 Olympics, Ross is aiming even higher in Rio 2016. Powered by a relentless drive to win and the Future of Protein...we're thinking her future looks pretty golden.
