Beyond Steak Becomes the First Plant-Based Meat to Meet the American Diabetes Association’s Better Choices for Life Nutritional Guidelines

New year, new health backing for our delicious and healthy Beyond Steak! After being certified as a heart-healthy food by the American Heart Association, we’re proud to have worked closely with the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) to become the first plant-based meat company to meet the Better Choices for Life program’s nutritional guidelines. The program uses the ADA’s evidence-based guidelines to help consumers make informed choices about the foods they purchase. With 21g of protein per serving and just 1g of sat fat with no cholesterol, Beyond Steak is not only incredibly delicious, but it also meets the ADA’s nutritional guidelines.

Did you know? 1.2 million Americans are diagnosed with diabetes every year. Nutrition is an important component of diabetes treatment and prevention. Consuming adequate protein is essential for those with and without diabetes, and according to the ADA, plant-based proteins provide quality protein, healthy fats, and fiber.
