Eric Bledsoe – Plant Based Crossover
September 15, 2015
Raised in the heartland of America and built like a miniature tank, Eric Bledsoe completely breaks the mold for your typical plant-based ambassador. But as he stated in a recent interview, a newfound focus on nutrition (with a heavy concentration on plant protein vs. animal protein) is taking his game to new heights: "I haven't lost any weight or gained any added muscle, but I feel like I'm in my best shape overall."
When Eric Bledsoe first discovered basketball as a youngster in Birmingham, Alabama--he dedicated his life to the sport and making it to the NBA. From running sprints on the hot Alabama blacktop–to shooting baskets until he couldn't lift his hands above his head; Bledsoe was on a mission. His hard work was rewarded when the University of Kentucky, widely regarded as the strongest basketball program in the country, offered him a scholarship to do what he loved. After college, Eric's lifelong dream was realized when he was selected in the first round of the NBA Draft.
Since then a new dream has been born: becoming the best player he can be and leading his team to a championship. To achieve this goal, Eric's left no stone unturned. While he continues to spend countless hours in the gym, he's also taken measures to make sure all his hard work pays off. He hired a chef who specializes in plant-based cooking once he heard about the benefits relating to muscle recovery and sustained energy. For us, what better way to showcase the Future of Protein than a walking, talking, SLAM DUNKING ambassador like one of the NBA's best? That's why we're proud to partner with Eric Bledsoe and help fuel his mission for success. With an elevated game that's powered by plants, his chances have never looked better.
