ANY GROUND BEEF RECIPE
KEEP REFRIGERATED AND COOK THOROUGHLY BEFORE SERVING. USE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF OPENING. DO NOT REFREEZE. IF PURCHASED FROZEN, THAW IN THE REFRIGERATOR BEFORE COOKING AND CONSUME WITHIN 10 DAYS.

1.Heat non-stick pan over medium-high heat, add Beyond Beef
2.Cook 5-8 minutes, breaking up to desired crumble size. Stir frequently.
3.If adding sauce, simmer up to 30 minutes.

2.Pan-sear then add to sauce

WHY IS IT IN THE MEAT SECTION?
Great question. Part of our Future of Protein vision is to re-imagine the meat section as the Protein Section of the store. In this way, we can help introduce plant-based options to people where they are already purchasing other forms of protein.
HOW DOES THIS DIFFER FROM THE NEW, MEATIER BEYOND BURGERTM AVAILABLE AT GROCERY STORES?
It doesn’t! Just like animal-derived ground meat and packaged burger patties are made from the same protein source, our Beyond Burgertm and Beyond Beef® are now both made from the same plant-based meat. With this move, we are further closing the gaps between our products and their animal protein equivalents. Having a shared recipe across these two products increases efficiency and furthers our mission of making plant-based meat more readily accessible.
WHY GROUND MEAT FROM PLANTS THAT AIMS TO REPLICATE MEAT?
Our belief is that the best way to get people to eat less meat is by giving them what they love–in this case, juicy, delicious ground meat – without so many of the health, sustainability, and animal welfare downsides of a traditional animal-based meat.
WHY DON’T YOU PUT THE BEYOND BEEF® IN BOTH THE MEAT AND MEAT ALTERNATIVES SECTION OF THE STORE?
Dual-placement is a possibility but ultimately it’s up to each retailer. Our goal of placing Beyond Beef® in, at a minimum, the meat section of the store is so we can help introduce plant-based options to people where they are already purchasing other forms of protein.
WHAT KIND OF PROTEIN DO YOU USE?
Peas, mung bean, and rice provide a complete protein. Beyond Beef® is made without GMOs, soy, or gluten.
WHAT ARE THE WHITE SPECKS?
The white specks are made from coconut oil and cocoa butter. These plant-based fats provide melty, mouthwatering marbling to Beyond Beef®, creating a juicy texture that’s closer to ground beef than ever before.
HOW DO YOU REBUILD MEAT WITHOUT GENETICALLY MODIFYING ANYTHING?
This question gets back to the company’s basic thesis that meat’s core parts – amino acids, lipids, trace minerals, vitamins, and water – don’t have exclusive residence in the animal kingdom. We’re not inventing new materials, we’re finding plant-based equivalents and assembling them in the architecture of meat. And the way we do that assembly is similar to the simple process used to make pasta – we mix our plant-based ingredients, compress the mixture, and then shape it into the final product.
DOES BEYOND BEEF® NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?
Yes. Just like animal-derived meat, you should keep Beyond Beef® at refrigerated temperature until you cook it on the stovetop, griddle, or grill.
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP BEYOND BEEF®?
Be sure to check the “use-by date” marked on the front of your package. Once you’ve opened the package, however, Beyond Beef® should be cooked and eaten within 3 days.
IS BEYOND BEEF® SAFE TO CONSUME IF I HAVE A NUT ALLERGY?
