1 pack Beyond Burger® Patties

2 hamburger buns, toasted 

2 slices cheddar cheese (sub favorite dairy-free cheese to make plant-based)

3 tbsp of your favorite BBQ sauce 

¼ cup crispy fried onions

Pickle slices, for garnish

Butter lettuce, for garnish 


Dry Rub:

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp chili powder

2 tsp brown sugar

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp onion powder



½ cup shredded cabbage

¼ cup shredded carrot

¼ cup red onion, sliced

3 green onions, sliced

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp white vinegar 

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp black pepper

Beyond Burger®



In a medium bowl, mix together all the coleslaw ingredients. Set aside.

In a small bowl, mix together all of the dry rub ingredients. Liberally season both sides of the Beyond Burger® patties.

Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4 minutes on each side. As the burgers cook, baste them with BBQ sauce and melt a slice of cheddar cheese on each before removing from the grill. 

To build the BBQ Beyond Burger®, place 1-2 slices of butter lettuce on the bottom bun, top with a burger patty, pickles, coleslaw and crispy onions.
