Beyond Belgium

April 24, 2019

We’re BBBTB!  (aka. Bringing Beyond Burgers to Belgium)

It’s official, our Belgian friends will be able to pick up the Beyond Burger at Delhaize starting the 25th of April and at Albert Heijn as of April 29th.

Belgium is more than beautiful countrysides and picturesque medieval streets. In fact, Europe as a whole is leading the global demand for plant-based meat! Point being, we want to “meat’ you, Belgium, and we know you want to meet the Beyond Burger too.

"Delhaize and Albert Heijn share our passion for offering innovative food products and increasing accessibility to delicious, high-quality plant-based meat. We’re excited to introduce The Beyond Burger in the Belgian retail market so that local consumers can continue to eat delicious, satiating burgers while enjoying the added health and environmental benefits of plant-based meat,” said Seth Goldman, Beyond Meat’s Executive Chairman.

This launch marks the next step forward in our mission of making plant-based meat more accessible worldwide, and we’re thrilled to now be available in more than 30 countries.

As our global footprint grows we, in turn, shrink the ecological footprint of the meat industry. Compared to a 4oz beef burger, the Beyond Burger produces 90 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions. Globally speaking, livestock agriculture is responsible for nearly 15 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions.

Now that’s what we call a burger with benefits! Find a store near you here and be sure to share a picture when you find it at your local retailer, tagging #BeyondBurger for a chance to be featured. #GoBeyond
