Beyond Meat Unveils Heat-n-serve Plant-Based Burgers, New Flavors of Beyond Dumplings®, and More in China

Beyond Meat debuts precooked plant-based burgers and expands its Beyond Dumplings® line, uplifting the quick meal game and bringing more convenience to Chinese consumers

The brand now offers a new 9-pack Beyond Burger®, designed for easy preparation without defrosting, and crafted to be similar to  traditional beef patties

SHANGHAI, China – June 16, 2023 – Beyond Meat, Inc. (NASDAQ: BYND), a leader in plant-based meat, today announced the debut of five delicious new products in China, exclusively launched during the 618 Tmall Shopping Festival on its Tmall flagship store, with nationwide free shipping for all orders and a promotional discount during the shopping festival*.

The expanded line-up features two varieties of the brand’s first-ever, heat-n-serve Beyond Meat Plant-Based Beef Burgers in China. The product features the brand’s signature Beyond Burger® patty, complemented with a wheat germ muffin bun and flavorful sauces. The Beyond Meat Plant-Based Beef Burgers can also be customized with fresh additions such as crunchy lettuce and fresh tomatoes. Crafted with a focus on both convenience and nutrition, these burgers cater to the dynamic lifestyles of today's discerning consumers.

In addition, Beyond Meat is introducing a pair of new flavors of plant-based fried dumplings (Beyond Dumplings®), coupled with the debut of a value 9-pack Beyond Burger. Crafted to captivate Chinese palates, these new products fuse local flavors with the nutritional benefits of plant-based meat and offer cooking versatility, representing another important stride in the brand’s mission to make plant-based eating a delicious choice for local consumers.

  • Italian Tomato Flavor Plant-Based Beef Burger: Packed with the robust flavors of sun-ripened tomatoes and Italian seasoning, this heat-n-serve burger is great for a quick yet satisfying meal.
  • Spicy Black Pepper Flavor Plant-Based Beef Burger: Featuring a tantalizing blend of spices and a bold black pepper kick, this burger serves up heat and flavor in a convenient, microwavable-ready package.
  • Spicy Pakchoi Plant-Based Beef Fried Dumplings: Pairing nutritious Beyond Beef™ fillings with the spicy kick of pakchoi, these dumplings deliver a burst of traditional Chinese flavors perfect for a snack or as part of a larger meal.
  • Korean Kimchi Flavor Plant-Based Pork Fried Dumplings: Infused with the authentic taste of Korean kimchi and packed with mouthwatering Beyond Pork™ fillings, these dumplings make for a quick, plant-based protein meal that’s big on flavor.
  • Value 9-pack of the Beyond Burger®: Offering a juicier texture and value size for the whole family, these plant-based beef patties can go straight from the freezer to the pan. Great for a versatile range of dishes from plant-based burgers to hearty mains.

Recently, Beyond Meat has also collaborated with Bakkavor China’s Fresh Kitchen to launch two heat-n-serve meals featuring Beyond Beef. In 2022, Beyond Meat built exciting foodservice partnerships with brands such as Dicos, and also announced the launch of Beyond Dumplings, a product designed to cater to the Chinese dining table by making the popular traditional delicacies available in a plant-based option.

Beyond Meat’s products are available at local retailers like METRO, Ole,  and Sam's Club, as well as on e-commerce platforms such as Tmall and Pinduoduo.
